Clean
Hand-wash with soapy water using a sponge or rag. Do not soak or submerge your board in water. Once clean, remove excess moisture with a clean paper towel.
Sanitize
Wash your board with a solution of one part vinegar to five parts water. Remove odors by rubbing the board with salt and half a lemon. Let sit for 2 to 3 minutes then wipe clean with a damp cloth. Remove excess moisture with a clean paper towel.
Maintain
Occasionally, you will need to rub your board with a food-safe mineral oil to keep wood from drying out.
1 · Apply room temperature mineral oil in the direction of the wood grain using a clean, dry cloth.
2 · Allow the oil to soak in and repeat with another application.
3 · Allow the board to dry for 30 minutes and wipe off any excess oil.
